Professional Study: ECONOMICS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Acquiring the professional title of: Bachelor of Economics (baccalareus/baccalaurea)

Location of study: Bana Ivana Karlovića 16, Gospić

The basic objective is the training of experts to work in business and achieve knowledge and skills in business entrepreneurship. The specific objective is related to the training of handling business opportunities and other economic entities.

The study of the Economics of Entrepreneurship runs in six semesters and lasts three years. The sixth semester includes professional practice and writing of the final thesis. It is performed as both a full-time study and part-time study. All course activities are evaluated in accordance with the ECTS system. The course activities of each semester are equal to 30 ECTS points, so that the student until the end of undergraduate program must achieve a total of 180 ECTS points.

EMPLOYMENT OPORTUNITIES

By completion of the professional study of Economics of Entrepreneurship the person acquires the possibility of employment in manufacturing and service companies, organizations and institutions on business sales, purchasing, finance and accounting functions in small and medium-sized enterprises, management of small and medium enterprises, establishment and management of small and medium enterprises.

Expected learning outcomes of the Professional Study of Economics of Entrepreneurship

  9. Present a marketing plan based on the key components of a marketing concept that is adapted to the environment and needs of clients
  10. Evaluate business decisions based on the results of quantitative analyzes used in the design and interpretation of business models in the microeconomic and macroeconomic environment
  11. Assess business risks using analytical tools and methods
  12. Choose elements of business communication in Croatian and foreign languages
  13. Management of business processes using digital tools
  14. Determine managerial and organizational skills for successful management of business entities
  15. To justify the profitability of the project of sustainable entrepreneurship financed by institutional grants
  16. Critically judge the legal forms of economic entities in the Republic of Croatia
  17. Choose the sources and structure of personal and business financing in the domestic and international environment in accordance with trends in the financial markets
  18. Predict the effects of monetary and fiscal policy on the business result of the organization
  19. Apply the skills of learning and researching professional literature necessary for lifelong learning and continuing professional development
  20. Create a stimulating competitive environment for the purpose of personal and professional development of individuals and teams
