Cooperation with foreign universities, scientific institutions, international agencies and associations to help the development of science is of great importance for achieving the basic development goals of the “Nikola Tesla” Polytechnic in Gospić, while the openness of the Polytechnic to society and the world is a prerequisite for its development. The openness and exchange of teachers, scientists and students with foreign institutions enables comparison and critical assessment of one’s own goals and achievements and the acceptance of global principles of evaluation of science and higher education. Precisely because of the above, the Polytechnic “Nikola Tesla” is in the process of negotiations for various forms of domestic and international cooperation, more information about which can be found on these pages.

Agreements

Today, the Polytechnic “Nikola Tesla” in Gospić has concluded contracts and agreements on cooperation with the following domestic higher education institutions and institutes with the aim of creating better conditions for teaching:

– Faculty of Law in Rijeka

– Faculty of Traffic Sciences in Zagreb

· University of Zadar, Department of Teacher Studies in Gospić

· Polytechnic in Rijeka

· Polytechnic in Šibenik

· Polytechnic “Marko Marulić” in Knin

· Croatian Scientific Society for Transport

· Međimurje Polytechnic in Čakovec

· Polytechnic Lavoslav Ružička in Vukovar

Involvement in the community

Negotiations are underway with a large number of domestic business entities and institutions with the aim of creating projects and improving teaching processes, especially in the part of carrying out professional practice and including recognized experts from practice in the teaching process, and to help in the transfer of technologies and education of new profiles highly educated experts needed by the economy. So far, cooperation agreements have already been signed with the following institutions/units of local and regional self-government:
