Invitation to a public lecture: The role of the tourist guide in the development of the destination

Polytechnic “Nikola Tesla” in Gospić on Monday, June 9, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM will be held an invited public lecture on the role of a tourist guide in the development of a destination.
The lecture will be given by Mislav Kolak, who will present the role of a tourist guide in the development of a tourist destination to graduate students, but also to the general public.
Mislav Kolak is a prominent tourist guide from Gospić with extensive experience in the tourism sector. Since March 2025, he has served as the president of the Association of Tourist Guides of Croatia (ZDTVH), an umbrella organization that brings together tourist guide associations across the country. Kolak is also the vice president of the Association of Tourist Guides of Lika, of which he was the founder and long-time president.
In addition to his involvement in professional associations, Kolak is the owner of the travel agency “Laudon Travel” and is also active as a member of the Advisory Council of the “Nikola Tesla” Polytechnic in Gospić, where he contributes to the development of educational programs in the field of tourism.
The lecture is open to students, tourism workers and all citizens interested in tourism and local community development.
