Information system of higher education institutions – ISVU project of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports launched at the beginning of 2001. as part of the informatization program of higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia.

ISVU is a software solution for digitalization of all Polytechnics in Republic of Croatia It is primarily an application for business digitalization of a polytechnic which enables managing data about students, teachers, courses, syllabi, enrollments and exams. In addition, the application supports the standard activities of every higher education institution, such as student enrollment, exam registration, entering exam grades, issuing certificates and certificates, and automatically generates summary reports.

ISVU is also a network-oriented system that can coordinate the work of a large number of higher education institutions (e.g. all higher education institutions of a university or all higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia). Namely, the system can provide unique identification of students, teachers, courses, or curricula, and data exchange between higher education institutions, e.g. in case of transferring students or borrowing teachers.

The third level of using ISVU is the grouping of data from a larger number of higher education institutions, i.e. creation of a data warehouse for the needs of universities or the Ministry of Science and Education. In addition, the system will ensure the creation of a unique portal on higher education in the Republic of Croatia.
