Acquiring a professional title: Engineer of Road Traffic (baccalareus/baccalaurea)

Place of studies: Gospić, Bana Ivana Karlovića 16.

It aims to train road transport experts to work on the execution of complex operational tasks of planning, preparation, improvement and control of technological and service processes in the field of road transport.

The Study of Road Transport runs in six semesters and lasts three years. The sixth semester includes professional practice and writing of the final thesis. It is performed as both a full-time study and part-time study. All course activities are evaluated in accordance with the ECTS system. The course activities of each semester are equal to 30 ECTS points, so that the student until the end of undergraduate program must achieve a total of 180 ECTS points.

Expected learning outcomes of the Professional Study of Road Transport

  1. Manage human resources respecting the personal and professional development of employees and encouraging teamwork among employees
  2. Manage documentation efficiently using appropriate office tools
  3. Manage all segments of the logistics chain in the process of storage, transportation and handling of goods
  4. Plan the road transport system within the spatial planning documentation at all levels
  5. Create traffic and construction solutions for the purpose of improving road traffic safety using modern software tools
  6. Present a program task for a traffic study, traffic analysis or for individual phases in road design
  7. Manage the traffic-technical expertise of traffic accidents with the application of modern software tools
  8. Evaluate capacity and utilization calculations of warehouses in internal transport and warehouse systems
  9. Review the driving dynamics of road vehicles by applying the laws of technical mechanics
  10. Calculate the energy balance of the vehicle for given driving parameters
  11. Create a structure and judge the function of technology and work organization in the goods distribution center and terminal, and in every transport company
  12. Choose the option for the application of appropriate traffic regulations
  13. Create a new technological and organizational project in the road transport company
  14. Apply managerial skills in the business processes of road transport companies, public institutions and state administration entities with consistent application of EU directives
  15. Manage business processes in road transport companies by applying the principles of sustainable business
  16. Comment on basic terms and phenomena from the field of road traffic in a foreign language
  17. Apply the skills of learning and researching professional literature necessary for lifelong learning and continuing professional development
  18. Create a stimulating competitive environment for the purpose of personal and professional development of individuals and teams
  19. Develop self-discipline, work habits and positive attitudes and thinking

Professional practice

Instructions and forms for semester-long professional practice

Students of the third year of professional studies in Road Traffic have an obligation in 6th. semester to complete the Semester professional practice, during 45 working days. Students are required to do the internship in a period of 4th. of March 2024. until 14th. of June 2024. (eg from March 4 to May 7 or from March 18 to May 21, 2024).

Zašto je dobro studirati na Velegs?
Iz jednostavnih razloga : izvrsnost predavanja ogleda se da pored teoretskog dijela velika pozornost polaže se na praktičnu primjenu znanja, i kao rezultat imamo primjere studenata koji su vrlo uspješni u daljnjem školovanju i ostvarivanju velikih ciljeva. Uz navedeno Veleučilište “Nikola Tesla” u Gospiću može biti na primjer ostalim učilištima, gdje student uz fakultetske obveze može svoje slobodno vrijeme iskoristiti za učenje kroz seminare, uključiti se u razne humanitarne akcije, sudjelovati u sportskim aktivnostima i slično.
Nadalje uzimam sebe kao primjer stipendirane studentice, dobitnice Dekanove nagrade po drugi puta, dobitnice priznanja grada Gospića za postignute rezultate u visokoškolskom obrazovanju te kao predsjednice Studentskog zbora imam čast raditi za Dejana Lovrena u Joel hotelu u Novalji.
Uz prepoznati kvalitet želim nastaviti ovim putem i jednog dana vratiti se na svoje matično učilište i biti dio tima koje će u budućnosti dovesti Veleučilište do izbora broj jedan za svakog studenta.
