The third Peer-to-peer workshop of the Culinary Trail project was held
REGLO organized the third peer-to-peer workshop today as part of the #CulinaryTrail project. Today’s workshop was held together with policy makers in order to gather policy proposals by reviewing the SWOT analysis report and identifying ways to address and mitigate identified challenges.
Four focus areas have been identified, certainly with specific threats and weaknesses derived from the SWOT analysis report.
- Area 1: Demographic problems: What are the most permanent demographic problems of minorities in the Danube region?
- Area 2: Infrastructural Presence: What are the advantages and disadvantages of the infrastructural characteristics of minority groups?
- Area 3: Preserving culinary significance and heritage: What are the advantages and disadvantages of preserving cultural heritage?
- Area 4: Access to funding: What are the advantages and disadvantages of minority groups’ access to funding?
After the introductory presentation of the #CulinaryTrail project by Jasmina Jakomin (SASS), Martin Dujčak (TUKE) gave a very informative presentation of the results of the SWOT analysis from the second P2P workshop. The main part of the workshop was conducted in two groups in which policy makers together with project partners discussed the mentioned topics through presentations of good practices and good solutions from different countries. The results of the discussion and policy proposals were presented at the end of the workshop, and will serve as a basis for the development of a comprehensive strategy and corresponding action plans to support the preservation and promotion of culinary heritage.
